I Mixed Chocolate Milk with Diet Pepsi. It Was Delicious.
Chocolate soda recipe
The other night, I mixed chocolate milk with Diet Pepsi — more accurately: chocolate oat milk with Diet Pepsi.
It started off because I was craving chocolate milk and poured some in a glass. I drank it. Immediately after, craving some Diet Pepsi, I decided to reuse the same glass without rinsing it. Hints of chocolate added complexity to the cold bubbles of the soda, faintly reminding me of an ice cream float.
I decided to try creating a new recipe:
Chocolate Soda Recipe
1 part chocolate oat milk
1 part Diet Pepsi, or other cola or soda
Pouring the chocolate oat milk into the glass, the thick chocolaty sweetness slowly coated the glass in creamy delicacy. I gently added the Diet Pepsi, the thinner fluidity and bubbles mixing with the chocolate milk, creating a slight froth on the top of the mixture.
Watching the bubbles form, I gently swirled the mixture with a stir stick.
I admired my creation before bringing the glass up to my mouth.
It smelled more chocolatey than anything else.
The bubbles touched my tongue, bringing the velvety chocolate alive, the flavours dancing in my mouth.
I can imagine this slightly iced, served as an elegant signature drink.
Recipe ideas pour from me, flowing into the realm of possibilities…
Make it a cocktail by adding a cream liqueur like Amarula, or a hint of Creme de Menthe… maybe a dash of peppermint extract or orange extract. A bit of espresso in the bottom of the glass before the other ingredients? So many ideas…

In fact, I made it again, so I could take a photo to include with the recipe. This time, adding three frozen blackberries to the top.
Would you try it?
